1. System RequirementsSimple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and XML are used as a means of communication between ProblemTracker and the external application using the ProblemTracker Software Development Kit (SDK) to create new records by calling the ProblemTracker Application Programming Interface (API). The ProblemTracker SDK requires particular components (listed below) to be installed on the ProblemTracker server (web server machine where ProblemTracker or ProblemTracker Enterprise Edition is installed) and the client (the machine where the external application and ProblemTracker SDK are installed). A. ProblemTracker Server RequirementsThe following components must be installed on the web server machine.
B. ProblemTracker Client Requirements The ProblemTracker client is the machine where the external application calling the SDK is located. If the external application is located on the same machine where ProblemTracker is installed, the only additional requirement beyond the ProblemTracker Server Requirements above is the installation of the SDK itself.
